Barry E. Woods, age 69 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015, at his home. He loved preaching the Gospel, serving the Lord, was a prayer warrior and a great piano player. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Anderson Woods and Ruby Jo Miller Woods. Survivors include his wife, Loretta Carpenter Woods; son, Thomas Barry Woods; grandson, Jesse B. Woods; brother, Stephen Woods and wife Pam; sister, Sharon Dunn of South Carolina; brothers-in-law, John Lee Carpenter and wife Shirley of Robbinsville, NC and Kyle Carpenter; sisters-in-law, Lydia Plemons and husband David and Donna Smith and husband Stuart; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Garner officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, P. O. Box 4035, Maryville, TN 37802 or New Vision Church of God, 5141 Hwy. 411 S., Maryville, TN 37801.
