Barbara Lou Peak

Barbara Lou Peak, age 80, of Maryville, TN, formerly of Upper St Clair, PA, passed away smiling Easter morning, March 27, 2016. Beloved widow of Bart N. Peak, Jr.; mother of Gretchen A. Waltemire and Hilary J. Holz; step-mother of Mary L. Zurstadt, Bart N. Peak, III (Sandy), Robert C. Peak, and Barbara P. Long (Barry); grandmother of Russell C. Holz, Willow C. Waltemire and Avria L. Waltemire; step-grandmother of Corey Peak, Kym Zurstadt, Gunther Zurstadt and Keirsten McDaniel (Jamie), Owain Long, Nevan Long and Tristan Long; step-great grandmother of Jordan Remington. She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Packard and her twin brother, Lynn Pullis; cousin of Ron Rice; aunt of Sherry Wright, Robin Ledbetter, Patti Hooper, Gary Pullis (Jessica), Kevin Pullis (Colleen) and John Pullis; and great-aunt of Emily Pullis and Logan Pullis. Lou Peak was an active member of Foothills Ski Club, Foothills Pointe Dulcimer Club and her local Couples and Marathon Bridge Clubs. She was a former long time teaching docent at Knoxville Museum of Art. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church and tireless volunteer for Circle #1. She served on the boards of Tri-State Quarter Association, Pittsburgh, PA, Le Boutique D'Occassion, Lausanne, Switzerland, Foothills Pointe Association, and her local chapters of Garden Clubs of America in Pittsburgh and Maryville. She was former President of her local United Methodist Women's Organization and Foothills Pointe Beautification Chairman from 1996 - 2004. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm Saturday, April 16, 2016, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home followed by a 2:00 p.m. memorial service with Rev. Catherine Nance officiating.
