Barbara June Asbury

Barbara "June" Walker Asbury passed away at her home on October 8th, 2016 in Alcoa, Tennessee at age 85. She was a proud wife, mother and grandmother and active member of the First United Methodist Church in Alcoa. She was born in Hardin Valley, TN and a 1948 graduate of Karns High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel William "Bill" Asbury, son Steven Michael Asbury of and daughter-in-law Nancy Asbury all of Alcoa, TN, brother Clarence Walker of Karns, TN and sister Marjorie Walters of Hardin Valley, TN. She is survived by son James Asbury of Alcoa, TN and Scott Asbury of Atlanta, Georgia, grandsons Jesse Asbury, Jeremy Asbury, Gus Asbury and Wyatt Asbury. Granddaughters April Payne and Brandy Whitehead of Blount county. The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Tuesday, Oct 11th from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM with a memorial service immediately following, graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM at Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hardin Valley, TN. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Bill Bailey Scholarship Fund at the Alcoa First United Methodist Church.
