Barbara Ellen Grubbs

Barbara Ellen Grubbs, age 66, passed away Monday, December 8, 2008. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Louisville. She retired after 30 years as a librarian in the Knox County and Knoxville City School System, having served in Rocky Hill Elementary, Bearden Middle School and West Hills High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, W. W. and Margaret DeLozier Grubbs. Survivors include brother, Wynne Grubbs and wife Dorella; sister, Pat Grubbs Sherwood and husband Don; nephews, Bill Grubbs, Eddie Sherwood and Alan Sherwood; nieces, Carrie Grubbs Craycraft and Susan Sherwood McKerley. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blount County Public Library, 508 N. Cusick Street, Maryville, TN 37804.
