Avery Vineyard Lail

Avery Vineyard Lail age 90 of Townsend passed away Saturday December 8, 2018 at his home. Avery attended Townsend High School in 1947. He worked for ALCOA for 44 years. He loved horseback riding his whole life. Avery was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Juanita Bug Lail, his youngest son Ralph Andrew Lail who was serving in the US Army and grandson Caleb Hurst. He is survived by his children, Tommy Ray Lail of Swoope, Virginia, Johnnie Mae Lail of Townsend, Sammy Vineyard Lail of Lead Hill Arkansas, Linda D. Hurst of Townsend,. Five grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Brother, John Lail and sister Evelyn Ledbetter. The family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Tuckaleechee Methodist Church Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Pacer Hepperly officiating.
