Audine Russell Harmon

Harmon, Audine Russell, age 86 of Alcoa, passed away Monday, July 7, 2008, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Audine was a born again Christian, who loved the Lord. She was born and raised in Cades Cove, and was an avid traveler who went to the Holy Lands on several mission trips, and had traveled around the world twice. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cowan and Cora Russell; son, J. C. Harmon; grandson, Kenneth Harmon; brothers, Grayson Russell, “Doc” Russell; sisters, Alice Garland, Edith Gregory and Ada Everett. Audine is survived by her husband of 69 years, Edward Harmon; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Judy Harmon of Alcoa, Bobby and Debbie Harmon of Maryville; brothers, Carl Russell and wife Nancy of FL, Hubert Russell and wife Polly of Knoxville; sisters, Hester Wilburn of Maryville, Katherine Tipton of Nashville, Gladys Fowler of CA; grandchildren, Ray Harmon, Saundra and Terry Poplin, Daniel and Jenny Harmon; Charles and Kay Harmon, Edward and Eunice Harmon, Barbara and John Orr; great grandchildren, Joey Headrick, Ashley Beaver, Chris Orr, Tyler Orr, Abigail Orr; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Pearl Harmon. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Clore and Rev. Raymond Clore officiating. The interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
