Arthur R. Huffstetler, 98, passed away on February 26, 2012, at Williamsburg Villa, Knoxville, TN. He was a career employee of Alcoa Aluminum Company, spending 40 years at the various plants. He was part of the start-up team of employees that opened the North Plant. He was a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Arthur Huffstetler was a 33rd degree Mason with the Scottish Rite and was a member of the Scottish Rite third degree team for many years. He was a member and, in 1972, served as Worshipful Master of Charles H. McKinney Lodge #433 F&AM. Other interests included UT sports, gardening, and genealogy. He is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Mary Alice Marine Huffstetler, his parents, Cas M. and Martha Ellen Hicks Huffstetler, brothers Leon (Ersa) and Oleta Huffstetler, and sisters Ruby (Edward) Byerley, Sarah (Fletcher) Lenderman, Willie Mae (Dale) Smith, Edna (Burton) Duke, and Frances (Al) Payne. He is survived by his sons, Arlan R. (Carolyn) and Von C. (Mary Ann) Huffstetler of Louisville, TN, and E. Barry (Carol) Huffstetler of Coral Springs, FL; grandchildren Greg (Mary Ruth) Huffstetler of Naperville, IL, and Lori (Mike) Brown, Alicia (Jamie) Finney, and Pamela (Chris) Lougheed, all of Knoxville, TN; and 6 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. J. W. Hopper officiating.
