Arnold F. Shamblin, age 90 of Vonore, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a very caring, compassionate and generous man. He loved family, friends and had a wonderful walk with God. He was a graduate of Alcoa High School, retired from ALCOA, served during World War II in the U. S. Navy and was a Mason. He was a devoted husband to three loving wives, Kathryn, Jean and Dorothy. He was preceded in death by parents, George Benjamin and Lily Mae Breeden Shamblin; brothers, Henegar, Austin, Norman and Bryan Shamblin; sister, Dorothy; wives, Kathryn, Jean and Dorothy; infant twins; stepson, Tom Bradshaw. He is survived by brother, Jack (Dona) Shamblin; sister-in-laws, Dot Shamblin, Pat Tippins and Doris Eaves; step daughters, Connie (Bob) Sullivan; Betsy (Kim) Cox; stepson, Robert K. (Terri) Bradshaw; step daughter-in-law, Donna Bradshaw; step grandchildren, Libby and Russ Hurst, Holly and Garret Schweitzer, Matt Bradshaw, Isaac Bradshaw, Nicholas and Haley Bradshaw, Katie and Seth Sumner, Charlie Cox, Christi Ivens, Casey and Greg Davis and Jesse Ivens; step great grandchildren, Blake Hurst, Sam Schweitzer, Mason and Georgia Sumner, Nick Davis, Tori Martin, Jay Ivens, and Van Ivens; step daughter, Carolyn (Grover) Dunn, step grandchildren, Crystal Dunn and Emory Shead, Kyrie (Sean) Sullivan, Casey (Eric) Gellerman; step great grandchildren, Donovan and Rylee Sullivan; step daughter, Darlene (Howard) Murrell; step grandchildren, Tim (Tammy) Murrell, Tammie Gillespie; step great-grandchildren, Heath (Jo) Murrell, Slade (Caroline) Murrell, Bailey Murrell, Tucker Gillespie, Tyson Gillespie; step great-great grandchildren, Riley Murrell, Caylee Murrell and Jocelyn Murrell; step daughter, Trena Ethridge; step granddaughters, Lori (Bill) Dockter, Amanda (Michael) Singleton; step great granddaughters, Kendra Roberts, Kayla (Noah) Bachman, Kallie Singleton; step great grandson, Christian Singleton; step great-great granddaughter, Paisley Bachman. He is also survived by many friends he loved to play music with. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if you choose to remember Arnold, donations should be made to Monte Vista Baptist Church for Family Promise, 1735 Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
