Armando Enrique Garcia

Armando Enrique Garcia of Maryville, TN passed away on October 1st, 2023.

Armando was born December 15th, 1931 to Jose Luis & Maria D Garcia in Guanajay, Cuba. Armando emigrated to Tennessee with his brother Luis around 1949 to attend college. Armando enlisted with the United States Army where he proudly served in Korea. He began working as a draftsman and was licensed as an architect in 1973. He enjoyed a lengthy career blessed with many lifelong friendships.

In his later years Armando returned to his true passion of painting. He was an incredibly talented artist who gifted family and friends with his beautiful work. While Armando was known for his love of painting, his first love was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his two children, Susan Peterson (Chuck) and Victor Garcia (Katie) along with seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor the life of Armando Garcia will be held at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Maryville, TN, Saturday, October 7th at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association at Diabetes.org.
