Annie L. Blackburn, age 83, of New Martinsville, WV, died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville. She was born April 17, 1932 in Maryville, TN, the daughter of the late Finley A. and Katherine Freshour Largen. Annie was a local business woman, having owned and operated the Sears catalog merchant store for 20 years. She is also co-owner of Cash-n-More in New Martinsville. She is of the Christian faith and a member of New Martinsville United Methodist Church. Annie was a beautiful, unselfish person with a heart of gold. She loved her family, her friends and her pets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Alexis Ann and Anthony Lynn Blackburn; three sisters, Dora May Largen, June Moscript and Billie Bruce, all of Maryville, TN; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Alexander of Yellow Springs, OH. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Don Blackburn, Jr.; two sons, Christian A. Blackburn and Donald Lee Blackburn, both of New Martinsville; two sisters, Ova Whitehead of New Martinsville and Janie Stringer of Knoxville, TN; a grandson, Tony (Autumn) Blackburn of Edmond, OK; and two sisters-in-law, Donna (Joe) Harrill of Morristown, TN and Julia (Carroll) Barnette of Maryville, TN. The family will receive friends from 11-12:00 noon Saturday, August 22, at Peck's Memorial United Methodist Church with funeral services to follow at 12:00. The interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
