Anne Alice Chomanics Kropp, born February 7, 1916, in McKeesport, PA, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Asbury Place. She was the second of eight daughters to John and Anna Duhony Chomanics, was a long-time member of St. Pius Catholic Church, McKeesport, PA and after moving to TN in 1999, a member of St. John Neumann, Farragut, and most recently, Our Lady of Fatima, Alcoa. A sweet, caring, loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Anne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry W. Kropp (1914-1985) and five sisters. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Henry M. and Patty Kropp, Lexington, KY; daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Thomas E. Witt, Jr. of Friendsville, TN; grandchildren, Carra Witt Eggers, Knoxville, TN, John Kropp, Lexington, KY, Daniel Kropp, Westerville, OH, Kellie Witt Wright and husband, Jeffrey, Ringgold, GA, Craig Witt, Friendsville, TN; great grandchildren, Jade and Zen Kropp, Lexington, KY, Brooke Anne Wright, Ringgold, GA; sisters, Bette Davis, Moore Haven, FL and Ethel Hebda, N. Versailles, PA. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima, Alcoa, on Saturday July 11, at 11:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Pius Church with interment at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, PA. The family especially thanks Velma Burke, Joan Speck and friends for thoughts, prayers, visits and the care givers at Asbury Place, Maryville, TN, where Anne was a resident since July 2005.
