Anna Lue Bright (Blondie)

She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. (Proverbs 3:15)

Anna has been reunited with the love of her life, Gene Bright.

She began to decline on Friday morning, and she roused slightly throughout the weekend. She passed swiftly and peacefully on the morning of August 1, 2022, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, sisters and other family and friends.

Anna was an active member of Grace Memorial Church in Alcoa, and her faith was evidenced in every facet of her life. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and believed strongly in the verse: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6)

Anna’s love for scripture was evidenced in a note that she left in one of her prized treasures, a small bible pamphlet of the Gospel of John. This was given to her by a lady from Moody Bible Institute who visited her at school in Glendale at the age of 9 or 10.

In light of the resurgence of active Covid disease and in the interest of community health and safety, the family has chosen to have graveside services at Axley’s Chapel Cemetery.

Anna has been a member of the American Bible Society for many years and had no greater hope than that all would have access to the Bible. In lieu of flowers consider donations to the American Bible Society in Anna’s memory.
