Anna Lou "Bird" Simerly

Anna Lou Simerly (Bird), 82, Maryville, TN passed away Tuesday October 24th with her family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Harold Simerly. Her parents William & Ruby Williams. Siblings William Otis, Sarah Compton, Claude, Paul and Kenneth Williams.

Anna is survived by her sons Randy (Terry) Simerly, Eddie (Tammy) Simerly. Brother Charles (Rhonda) Williams, sister Nancy (Fred) Hall. Grandchildren, Whitley Simerly, Alex (Canterra) Simerly, Katelyn(Dustin) Devine, Aaron Simerly.

Great-grandchildren, Kennedi, Abel, Elliott, Vera, Dansby and Townsend.

Anna was lovingly nicknamed “Bird” for her love of the game of Rook. Her greatest joy came from her sons and family. She loved family gatherings and cooking large meals for them. Anna never failed to tell of her great love of Jesus. She was a fierce prayer warrior. Anna was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 27th from 5-7pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 605 Dotson Memorial Rd. Maryville with service immediately to follow with Pastor Mike Parker and Reverend Delbert Raines.
