Ann Thompson Schuele

Ann Thompson Schuele was born September 16, 1936, in Poweshiek County, Iowa. Following graduation from Newton High School she graduated from Drake University with a degree in pharmacy. Ann was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. It was in pharmacy school that she met and married the love of her life, Martin Schuele.

Ann and Marty lived in Naperville, Illinois for several years were they both worked as pharmacists. They spent the last years of their careers and lives in Maryville, TN. They enjoyed the mountains, square dancing and of course the Tennessee Vols football and basketball games. Ann spent the last several years in the Chestnut house on the Asbury Place Maryville campus. Thank you to the wonderful staff for their care and love.

Ann was fun and smart. She had a sarcastic wit and spoke what was on her mind. Those who enjoyed those characteristics, Ann loved deeply.

Since Marty’s death in 2016, Ann has grieved the loss of her husband and best friend. Her grief is over and ours now begins.

Per Ann’s request there will be a service of scattering in Iowa later.
