Allen Ross Wilson “Chigger†, 73, died August 9th, 2009, with his family by his side at University of Tennessee Medical Center Knoxville Tennessee . He was born July 13, 1936, in Blount County. He graduated from Lanier High School and later served in the United States Air Force. He retired from William R Moore Inc. as a Territory Sales Manager to pursue ownership and management of an automotive fuel and repair center.He was a member of Rockford Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. His family wrote: “Chigger never met a stranger and enjoyed meeting and sharing life stories with everyone he met. He always told a good story and was a gentleman. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew “Chigger Wilsonâ€. Preceded in death by parents, Clay and Cleo Wilson; in-laws, Joe and Kathryn Coatney; nephews, Stevie, Christopher and Larry Hayes. “Chigger†is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Wilson of 52 years; son, Joey Wilson; sisters, Nancy Boatman, Gerry and Dottie Hayes; brother-in-law, Charles E. Coatney; nephews and nieces, Jeff Wilson, Mitch, Timothy and David Hayes, Melissa Crawford, Scott and Cindy Coatney. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Kimsey officiating. The interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Clark’s Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
