Alice Marie Pierce

Alice Marie Pierce, 83, of Walland, entered her heavenly home on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Morning View Transitional Care Center with her family by her side. She was a long time member of Ellejoy Baptist Church. In her younger years, Marie worked at the A&P grocery store where she met her husband Jim. She later worked for Blount County Schools in the cafeterias where her children attended school. She retired from BTR in 2001. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud Mamaw to her three grandsons. She was loved by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by husband of 50 years, Jim Pierce; parents, Wade and Gertie Keller; sisters, Della Mae Nuchols, Willa Faye Wilhoite, and Darlene Payne; brother-in-law Wayne Pierce.

Left to celebrate her memory are daughter Jama Proffitt; son Jimmy (Lisa) Pierce; grandsons Hayden Proffitt, Ethan Proffitt and Eli Myers; brother Wayne (Kathy) Keller; sister-in-law Barbara (Eugene) McCammon and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 5-7pm at McCammon- Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7pm with Pastor Arkie Baker and Roger Wilhoite officiating. Interment will be at 1pm, Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Ellejoy Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ellejoy Baptist Church (1290 Ellejoy Rd. Seymour, TN 37865) or Ellejoy Baptist Cemetery Fund (1623 Dripping Springs Rd. Seymour, TN 37865).
