Alfred Leon Rhea, Sr.

Alfred Leon Rhea, age 77 of Maryville, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital. Leon was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from J. C. Penney Company. He will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ethel Rhea; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rex and Maelee Clendenen; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Patterson, Jefferson Clendenen and James Clendenen. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joann Clendenen Rhea; son and daughter-in-law, Al Rhea, Jr., and Missie Rhea; son, Thomas Michael Rhea; daughter and son-in-law, Tami Lea and David Wiggins; grandsons, Derek Rhea, Tony, Joey, Chris and Nick Gugliotta and Brycen Wiggins; granddaughters, Skylar McKenzie Wiggins and Abigail Rhea; brother and sister-in-law, T. R. and Earnestine Rhea; sisters-in-law, Carmaleeta Morton, Janice Clendenen, Mary Clendenen, Brenda Patterson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roy and Diane Clendenen, John and Abby Clendenen; a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Cummings officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church.
