Albert L. Johnson Sr.

March 26, 1919 — May 29, 2004

Albert L. Johnson Sr; age 85 of Maryville passed away Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Colonial Hills Nursing Facility. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. He served during WWII as a Merchant Marine. He was a construction superintendent for Reynolds Construction Co. overseeing the building of numerous schools and hospitals. After retirement he started his own business, Johnson Woodworking Specialties, at his home on Highway 411. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan C. Johnson; Parents Jacob and Dora Johnson; Brothers John and Richard; sister Grace Albertson Survivors include his sister Sudie Guerry of Tampa Florida. Children Albert L. Johnson Jr., Gerry (Delmar) Loveday, Lynda (Steven) Ellis of Gwinn, MI; Sally Johnson and Patti (Travis) Browning; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; Special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mildred and O.H. (Junior) Reynolds; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:30 PM Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Dr. Marvin Gass officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 Am Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 PM at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 4035, Maryville, TN 37802 would be appreciated.
