French, Albert Jackson (A.J.), age 85 of Friendsville, passed away Monday, March 14, 2005, at Fairpark Healthcare Center. He was a member of Kingston Pike Baptist Church in Lenoir City, was a veteran of World War II having served with the U. S. Navy Seabees, was a member of the Iron Workers Local #384 for over 30 years and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Albert and Pearl Jackson French; granddaughter, Saralynn Suzanne Minnear; brother, Clyde H. French; sister and brother-in-law, Sammie Pauline and Edward Alexander; sister-in-law, Dovie French; brother-in-law, Eldon White. Survivors include his wife, Vera E. Mulkey French; son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. And Dawn Marie French; daughter, Lynnetta “Lynn” Minnear; grandson, Jeffrey Thomas French and wife Jamie; grandson, James Albert “Trey” Minnear, III; great grandson, Thomas Andrew French; great granddaughter, Emily Grace French; sister, Willie Mae White; special friend and neighbor, Clell Davis; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Carpenter officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service.
