Albert Arthur Roy

Albert "Arthur" Roy, age 77 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at his home. He was a longtime member of Lamplight Full Gospel Church, served with the U. S. Navy from June 18, 1956 thru June 13, 1960 and loved to sing gospel music and play the guitar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty R. Roy; grandchildren, Nikia Crabtree, Timothy Roy and Chris Helton; parents, Joseph and Cora Plemmons Roy; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Survivors include his daughters, Pam Roy of Maryville, Vickie Helton and husband Scott of Maryville, Stephanie Sparks and husband Dale of GA, Cindy Garrison and husband George of Sevierville; sons, Tim Roy and wife Debbie of Rockford, Mark Roy of Greenback and Steve Roy of Friendsville; stepdaughter, Wanda Hundley and husband Jessie of Friendsville; 16 grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; brother, Bill Roy; and special niece, Lynn Sams. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Morton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Governor John Sevier Highway, for the interment service.
