Ailene Ogle Shields, age 90 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at home. She was born March 10, 1920, in Millers Cove to the late John Houston and Carrie Blair Ogle. She became a Christian at age 17 at Millers Cove Primitive Baptist Church and was baptized in Little River. She was a graduate of Walland High School and Knoxville Business College, joined First Baptist Church of Maryville December of 1978, worked until retirement from Park Belks of Maryville and Belk Lindsey of Tarpon Springs, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Shields; granddaughter, Robin Lee Dailey; sisters, Nell McNeilly and Blanche Roberts; son-in-law, Vernon L. Dailey. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Paula Shields of Clearwater, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Pat Dailey Brackin and husband Dennis Brackin; granddaughters, Kym Hayes, Donna Miller, Kari Melissa Connatser and Michelle Anderson of Maryville; grandson, Mike Lentini of Clearwater, FL; great grandchildren, Jeff and Cameron Miller, Jimmy Webb, Chancli and Jessica Connatser, Cabot Anderson; 1 great great granddaughter, Mia Miller, who completed 5 generations; sisters, Nita Thomas, Mary Murphy and husband Mac; adoptive sister, Violet Walker; host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Sharp officiating. Lynn Powell will be in charge of music. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. Pall Bearers will be great grandchildren, Jimmy Webb, Jeff and Cam Miller, Cabot Anderson, Chancli and Jessica Connatser. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Sam Connatser, Greg Hayes and Mike Lentini. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maryville First Baptist Church, 202 W. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37801.
