A. D. Long, age 88 of Maryville, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011, at his home. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Helen Long; second wife, Linnie Long; son, Joe Long; grandsons, Scott Long and Elmer Long, Jr.; stepchildren, Evelyn Brown and Charles Moats. Survivors include his sons, Elmer Long and wife Jane, Jim Long and wife Shirley, Wendell Long, Gary L. Long and wife Anna; 3 stepsons, Harold Moats, Ralph Moats and wife Carol, Jackie Moats; grandchildren, Cindy Long Stroud and husband Kip, Kendra Long McDonald and husband Steve, Rob Long and wife Josette, Kimberly Kempke and husband Gary, Shane Helton and Jason Helton; 10 great grandchildren; special friend, Mary Jo Hubbard. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Williams and Rev. Don Walden officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
