A. C. Bean, Captain U. S. Army Retired, age 88 of Maryville, passed away Monday, May 13, 2002, at Maryville Healthcare Center. He was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, he was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Service Club and was a Retired Captain of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Cornett Bean and parents, Frederick R. and Lossalie Gibson Bean. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Fred Evans of Maryville; grandchildren, Shari and Lee Forsythe of Maryville, Beth Wallace of Old Fort, TN and Suzette Stephenson of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Luke and Jake Wallace of Old Fort, TN, and David Travis of Maryville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wallace R. and Doloris Cornett of Tampa, FL and James and Betty Cornett of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Sherwood Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Sterling Turner officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Ft. Campbell, KY Honor Guard. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maryville First United Methodist Church, 804 Montvale Station Road, Maryville, TN 37803 or to the Shriner’s Cripple Childrens Hospital, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.
