Robin Devasher George

February 24, 1956 — February 23, 2024

Robin Devasher George, 67, passed away February 23, 2024, in Friendsville, Tennessee. She was surrounded by her loving family in her warm, country home as she took her last breath.

Robin was born to the late James and Christine Devasher in Erlanger, Kentucky on February 24, 1956. She traveled and moved often with her family as a child and teenager.

Once grown, and living in Orlando, Florida, she settled into a job at Delta Air Lines where she met the love of her life, Ronnie George. Perhaps the greatest highlights of her life are the 42 years of romance she shared with Ronnie, the three children and four grandchildren produced from that love, and the friendships they formed together along their journey.

Robin and family moved to East Tennessee in 1994, at which point she worked as a registered nurse. Robin and her husband’s dreams of developing a custom-home neighborhood took flight in 2001 and culminated in the now finished project of Vintage Village, once featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine.

Robin went on to achieve both a master’s degree in nursing education and a business degree. In most recent years, she opened her own case management business (IW Pros) and has enjoyed the success of entrepreneurship.

Always a social light, Robin lived into the meaning of her name - “bright, shining, and famous.” She loved hosting others in her home and planning parties for her closest friends through Supper Club and Shag Club.

In later years of her life, she took pride in teaching her granddaughters how to read and develop a love for learning.

Robin’s life and now legacy is overwhelmingly defined by her faith and pursuit of Jesus Christ. She spent hours in daily intercession and frequent fasting on behalf of her family, friends, community, and country. She believed that the fervent prayers of God’s people move the heart of God and make imprints on His Kingdom. Even in the face of death, she had unshakeable peace and faith in the Lord, which has provided a lasting testimony for all who know her story.

Robin is survived in death by her husband, Ronnie George; their three children - Ronnie George Jr., Rachel Brown and husband, Bryan, and Rob George and new bride, Tina; and four grandchildren - Lilly Belle, Ruthie Grace, George Austin, and Brooks Robin.

The Celebration of Robin’s Life will take place at Fairview Church in Maryville, Tennessee on Thursday, February 29, 2024. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the church sanctuary with the celebration to immediately follow.
