Robert "Bob" Donald Horton

Robert (Bob) Donald Horton, age 81, passed away at home, Sunday, December 18, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 9, 1935 to parents Milton and Beulah Horton of Unicoi County, TN. Mr. Horton was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Bill Horton, Joe Horton, and his sister, Betty Head; preceded also by his infant daughter, Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty Gillenwater Horton. Also surviving are his son, Bryan Horton (Joy) of Jonesborough, TN; his daughter, Kathryn Malmstrom (Hans) of Webster, NY; step-son, Mike Hitch (Lesa) of Louisville, TN. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Audrey Graybeal (Eddie), Jared Horton, Niklas Malmstrom, Christian Malmstrom, April Morton Anderson, Brandi McNally (Jeremy) and Jay Hitch (Emma); great grandchildren, Madison and Wyatt Graybeal, Natalie Anderson and Haley and Brady McNally. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis McKee officiating. The entombment will follow in Grandview Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
