Louis Martin Drinka, age 73, passed away on December 1, 2021, due to a sudden cancer diagnosis. Lou graduated from York High School in Chicago, Ill. as a star track and football athlete. He received a football scholarship from the University of Tennessee where he met his wife of 51 years, Glenda B. Drinka. He retired from FedEx Express after 30 years, where he made many lifelong friends, his FedEx family. He was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather who adored his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by so many. He rejoins his precious mother, Irene Ondreas Drinka, and father, Louis Wendell Drinka.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Glenda B. Drinka; daughters, Kelly Drinka (Ewan Walden) and Wendy Kirk (Joel Kirk); grandchildren, Jordyn Kirk, Jay Kirk, and Kingston Walden; sisters, Diane McManigal (Jerry) and Mary Lessman.
The family would like to thank Blount Memorial Hospital for the care they gave to him during these last two weeks.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no services, but a celebration of Lou’s life will be held at a later date.
