Laura Jane Rule

Laura Jane Rule, (1947-2012), age 65 of Maryville, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012, at her home with family and close friends, after a short term battle with melanoma. She was a long term member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was a distinguished graduate of U. T. Law School and represented U. T. in moot court competition. She held positions at law firms in New York City and Knoxville, TN. At the time of her death she was Managing Attorney of the Maryville Office of Legal Aid of East Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Ernest Rule, Jr., son, Christian Mathieu Daniel Hendricks and great grandmother, Blanche Marie Roach. Survivors include mother, Sara Charles Rule; aunt, Laura Chapel Keny; uncle, Jack McBath Keny; daughter, Jodi Cathleen Mynatt and significant other Leslie McMahan, son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas Bartease and Regan Hendricks; son, Joshua Fred Hendricks and significant other, Tammy Correll; daughter, Sara Chapel Marie Hendricks; daughter-in-law, Thelma Hendricks; loving ex-husband, William Boyd Hendricks; close cousin, Freddie Asher; grandchildren, Angelique Reeves, Giovonie Hendricks, Bianca Hendricks, Cole Correll, Monet Robinson, Dylan, Domaneick, and Derreck Hendricks, Cody Hendricks, Cameron Latham, Charles Hendricks, Nicky Hendricks, Kenny Mynatt, Alson Swaney, and Laura McMahan; great grandchild, Lacey Tindell; special friends, Linda Irwin-DeVitis, Terry Woods, and Sam Kemp; loving dog, Sandy and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Monday, September 3, 2012, from 5-7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, with Father Bill McNeeley officiating.
