Roberts, Henry H., age 82 of Knoxville, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Brakebill Nursing Home. He was a member of West Hills Baptist Church in Knoxville; attended Maryville College for two years, and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Marketing. He was an automobile dealer and salesman for 50 years at various area dealerships. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Marine Corps, he was the past president of the Chamber of Commerce in Blount County, past president of the Maryville Kiwanis, past chairman of the United Way, and won several awards in the automobile industry. He is preceded in death by father, Wiley Jackson Roberts and mother, Angeline Brown Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Poe Roberts; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Reg Garmeson of Alcoa; son and daughter-in-law, William (Bill) and Judy Roberts of Greer, SC; son, Jeff Roberts of Knoxville; granddaughters and spouses, Kelly and Bobby Whedbee of Alcoa, Kim and Robin Kermode of Orlando, FL, Beth and Brian Smith of Maryville; grandson and spouse Andy and Jill Roberts of Atlanta; granddaughters, Kate Roberts of Greer, SC, and Leslie Huffine of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Jackson Whedbee, Olivia and Jacob Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Gene Roberts of Maryville. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Pennington and Rev. Greg Long officiating. A military interment service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7:00 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Disabled American Veterans.
