Elden Ray Wilkinson

WILKINSON, Elden Ray of Alcoa, formerly of Knoxville, passed away Friday, September 1, 2006, at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. He was a member of Armona Baptist Church and had served as a Deacon at Gallaher Memorial and Alcoa Way Baptist Churches. He was a veteran of the Korean Era, having served with the U. S. Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Grace Wilkinson and brother, Ben Wilkinson. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Wilkinson; daughter, Susan Edwards; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Joanna Wilkinson; five beloved grandchildren, Mark and Chris Atkins, Christina Roland, Jennifer and Rebecca Wilkinson; twin sister, Mae (Ann) Beeler; sister-in-law, Wanda Wilkinson. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Armona Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Lawson and Rev. Mike Wilkinson officiating. The interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Knoxville. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Church. He loved Southern Gospel music and enjoyed sharing it with others; therefore, the family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to Armona Baptist Church’s Video Projection Fund, 2211 Louisville Road, Alcoa, TN 37701.
