Dillon ''Pat'' Moroney, Jr.

Dillon “Pat” Moroney, Jr., age 86 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He was a graduate of Maryville High School and Maryville College, a veteran of World War II, having served with the U. S. Army Signal Corps and owner of Moroney Oil Company and Moroney Properties. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dillon and Diva Jones Moroney; sisters, Theresa M. Walker, Margaret M. Davis and infant sister, Mary Charles Moroney. Survivors include his sister, Oleyea M. Robinson of St. Augustine, FL; niece, Katherine M. Chalfant and husband Randall C. Chalfant of St. Augustine, FL; nephew, John Dillon Davis and wife Pamela S. Davis of Maryville; great nieces and great nephews, Jordan Chalfant, Julian Chalfant, Matthew Davis and Connor Davis. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Lora Beth Gilbreath officiating.
