David D. Ogle

David D. Ogle, 69, of Maryville, TN found peace on Thursday, October 19th, 2023.

He was born on February 14, 1954, to the late Donald and Irma (nee Schaar) Ogle in Oakfield, WI. Dave worked for Denso for 25 years and has been retired for about 10 years. Dave has since spent his time volunteering in community groups, primarily Kiwanis where he most recently served as President, United Way of Blount County where he served in varying roles, served as a classroom reader in local schools and a volunteer driver for Senior Smiles. Dave was a die-hard Wisconsin sports fan, loyal to the University of Wisconsin Badgers and a fan and shareholder of the Green Bay Packers. He also loved to discuss and engage in friendly banter with his family and friends over sports and politics.

Those Dave leaves behind to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Nancy Harmon (Jim) Harmon and Audrey (Fernando) Salazar; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Brian) Ogle; six nieces & nephews, Jennifer “Jenny” (Joe) Sandrin, Kelsey (Ryan) Newburry, Mathew (Jessica) Fehlhaber, Amy (Riley) Logan, Audrey (Todd) Klemp, and Stephanie (Jared) Kahn; and many great nieces and nephews; ex-wife Meme Greenwell; three step-children Honey McBrayer, John Brown and Christy Brown; 5 grandchildren Jake (Rachel) McBrayer, Will McBrayer, Nora Brown, Ethan Brown and Mia Brown; many other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his younger brother, Brian Ogle.

Dave will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life in remembrance of Dave will be held on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, at the McCammon Ammons Click Funeral Home, Inc, 220 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville TN 37801. The family will greet relatives and friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A second, family, ceremony will be held in Wisconsin where Dave will join his parents for his final resting place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to United Way of Blount County.
