Anthony ''Tony'' Pyanoe

August 30, 1951 — April 30, 2011

Anthony “Tony” Pyanoe, died suddenly on April 30, 2011. He was born on August 30, 1951 in Neptune, New Jersey. Tony graduated from Saint Rose High School, Belmar, New Jersey in 1969. He served in the Navy during Vietnam. He graduated from the University of Virginia at Wise with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He was a life-long learner interested in all aspects of life with dedicated study at East Tennessee State University of Botany and Northeast State Community College studying Instrumentation/engineering. He was enjoying his recent retirement from being employed after years as a control design engineer. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Nancy; his three children who he was so proud of and adored with his whole heart: Julina, Dominic and Anthony. Also surviving him are his brothers, Joseph of FL, Frank of VA, Christopher of NJ; his sisters, Jacqueline of NJ, Jill of NJ, Nancy of PA, and Carmen of CA. He is also survived by numerous cherished nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, TN at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011, with Father Bede Aboh officiating. Following the service, the family invites everyone to a celebration of life at 4:30 p.m. at Maryville College’s House-In-The-Woods. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Tony to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial Program, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or your local NPR Station.
