James Arthur "Jay" Prince, Jr.

James Arthur Prince, Jr. (Jay) was born on December 13,1962 in Knoxville, TN and passed away on April 15, 2024. He attended Powell High School and graduated with the class of 1981.

For the past 21 years, Jay worked as a Lead Transportation Security Officer for the TSA at McGhee Tyson Airport. While there he made many lasting friendships with coworkers and with travelers. He loved music, playing his guitars and attending live shows around the area. He enjoyed working on his property, planting trees and spending time with his beloved dogs and cats.

Jay was preceded in death by his father Jim Prince. He is survived by his mother Janie Ross and stepfather Ray Ross, sister Susan Prince, niece Lacy Anderson, nephew Joshua Moore, brother Chris Prince (Meredith), nephews Luke and Henry Prince, girlfriend Melissa Adams, niece Savannah Norris and best friend Leslie Fiore.

Family and friends will have a celebration of life at the Springbrook Pavilion (1561 Dalton St. Alcoa 37701) on April 29th from 5p-8p.
